DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. Feb 18 — WSBTV reports: Chamblee police have arrested and detained a 16-year-old student for having a gun on the campus of Chamblee Charter High School.
Chamblee police said someone across the street spotted the student and called 911. The student ran, but officers caught him. They found two handguns on the student at the time. The student then led police to a stash of weapons in the woods, along with a suspicious package. Police are investigating the contents inside.
A bomb squad was called to the school, where a lockdown was lifted just before 4 p.m.
