Brookhaven, GA – Brookhaven Residents are continuing to utilize SeeClickFix to report issues to the City’s Public Works Department. Often times, they are acknowledged in a very short period of time and Public Works provides an after hours line for emergency issues.
Some of the latest reports include poor pavement conditions on Caldwell Rd, which is causing people to have to walk on the busy street, a complaint that a builder is not adhering to code by failing to put up a silt fence while they do construction adjacent to a stormwater stream on Caldwell at Cynthia, mud in streets, blocked sidewalks, water main breaks, and general pavement problems.
The City’s Public Works Department may not be the responsible party for many issues such as a broken water main, etc., but they normally respond by supplying the person who originally reported the issue with contact information for the responsible party.
Grasses and weeds have responded well to all of the rain the area has gotten lately. There are several Right-of-Ways that have been reported that are in need of attention and also that some of them have growth nearing 5 feet tall.
The Brookhaven Post has reached out to the Public Works Department to try to get mowing schedules but the department representatives say that they are still getting their schedules narrowed down and finalized.
