The Clairmont Road Sidewalk Project, led by the Georgia Department of Transportation, includes improvements to sidewalks, crosswalks and pedestrian signals along US 23/Clairmont Road from Interstate 85 to Buford Highway/SR 13.
Upon completion, Clairmont Road will have 1.83 miles of 5-foot wide sidewalks along both sides of the roadway. The project is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2014.
“This brings Brookhaven one step closer to being a safe, pedestrian-friendly community,” Mayor J. Max Davis said.
The project is fully funded by the Georgia Department of Transportation. No city funds will be used for the project.
