Brookhaven, GA, October 26, 2015 – The Post Reports – Brookhaven’s own Jean Marie Richardson was honored with a 2015 Most Powerful and Influential Woman Award by The National Diversity Council at its Annual Leadership Conference on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Midtown Crown Plaza in Atlanta.
The Most Powerful & Influential Woman and Multicultural Leadership Awards were presented to women and men who have made a difference through their leadership, achievements, and ability to excel in their field including generating results, revenue impact, and profitability, affecting the direction of their organization, and impacting their community.
Executives from SunTrust Bank, The Honey Baked Ham Company, The Coca Cola Company, Bank of America, The Home Depot, Georgia Pacific, Cap Gemini, NCR Corporation, Graphic Packaging International, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, were honored at the conference that included over 250 attendees. Margaret ‘Maggie’ DeCan, Chief Operation Officer of Honey Baked Ham, and a fellow recipient, gave the key note address. Jean Marie was also a speaker at the event.
Jean Marie Richardson’s background includes launching products, managing businesses, and growing revenue at Fortune 500 firms such as Oracle Corporation and MasterCard, emerging startups, and her own business.
At NOW Corp, Jean Marie is on the Executive Team and is responsible for the Financial Institution Group. NOW’s flagship solution, NOWaccount® is designed to empower small businesses in B2B industries across the U.S. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business.
Prior to joining NOW Corp Jean Marie was Vice President of Business-to-Business Commercial Acceptance at MasterCard, where she grew a B2B Supplier Enablement program to more than $1 Billion GDV (Gross Dollar Volume) working with financial institutions and enterprises.
Prior to MasterCard, Jean Marie served as Vice President, Sales and Account Development, at Acculynk, where she developed and managed a sales strategy and team focused on enterprises and new markets, including facilitators, online merchants and marketplaces. There she grew year-over-year sales 200% for payments and mobile/online commerce solutions.
At Oracle, Jean Marie managed a mobile initiative for innovative products and spearheaded the acquisition of a mobile platform company. She managed the acquisition, delivering 180 converted customers and $6 Million in new sales. Post-acquisition she managed the product development team and led go to market launch of the new mobile CRM products with Citibank and Konica. Larry Ellison, Oracle CEO and Chairman, showcased the product at Oracle Open World conference for 42,000 attendees.
She was awarded the National Federation of Independent Business’ first “Young Entrepreneur Award” for East Coast Enterprises, a business she Co-Founded, which provided exclusive dining and entertainment offers in the Golden Isles.“It is an honor to be named among Georgia’s Women of Power and Influence and I am delighted to have the opportunity to address such a credentialed group of business leaders who are making a difference across our state” said Jean Marie Richardson. “There are many aspects to leadership. A laser focus on driving business value, as well as strong listening skills and an openness to new ways of doing things have been critical to success in my experience.”
Jean Marie is passionate about initiatives that provide growth opportunities for small businesses, entrepreneurs, students, and vulnerable children. She is on the Dean’s Scholarship Council at Georgia Tech and enjoys guest lecturing on payments and ecommerce for Georgia Tech’s MBA program. She has been a featured speaker on payments, innovation, and leadership at national conferences. Jean Marie resides in Brookhaven with her husband Hap Richardson, is a member of the Habersham Garden Club, and volunteers for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
