Doraville, GA, January 26, 2016 – The Post Reports – At approximately 10:00 AM Tuesday morning, Doraville Police Department investigated a bomb threat at the Atlanta Jewish Academy located on Raymond Drive, which is co-located with the Tapestry Public Charter School.
According to Tapestry Principal, Barbara Boone, Doraville Police arrived immediately and Staff evacuated the school to a park across the street.
“Multiple police resources were on scene,” Dorvaille PD Public Information Officer, Gene Callaway said in a release. “Public safety partners were in constant communication with the school administration as the investigation progressed.”
Officer Callaway said that DeKalb Police Department’s bomb squad responded to the scene and cleared the building and campus grounds.
At approximately 12:10 PM, students returned to their classrooms.
The school says parents were notified that all students were safe.
