Brookhaven, GA, March 23, 2016 – The Post Reports – Brian Borden, Brookhaven’s Parks & Recreation Director, announced at the March 22 City Council Work Session the City is preparing to begin implementing the Clack’s Corner Master Plan.
“We are proud to announce that the first park that we are going to [complete is] Clack’s Corner,” Borden said. The department has received bids from companies interested in conducting park surveys that will provide information on exact park boundaries and what is underground.
Once the survey and bidding process for Clack’s Corner is complete, the City says work that will include a natural play area, community seating, a community lawn, brick paving, and a memorial will begin this year. The Clack’s Corner plan is part of the individual park master plans completed by the firm Greenberg Farrow in February.
Clack’s Corner is a .2 acre parcel where Howard Clack, described as “a gentle man and an artist” lived most of his life. His family preserved this land for a neighborhood greenspace in his honor.
Clack’s Corner is located at 1410 Cartecay Drive NE.
