Chamblee, GA, November 8, 2016 – The Post Reports – The City of Chamblee’s Development 101 education series is getting back in to the swing of things on November 8th. The program is designed to educate residents and business owners on permitting, code enforcement, and zoning. Hosted by the Chamblee Development Department, the Development 101 classes are open to anyone who wants to take them, though spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come, first-served basis.
The following five classes are tentatively planned:
Nov. 8 • Land Disturbance Permitting
Types of permits needed, permitting process, site codes (buffers, trees, soil erosion, floodplain, storm-water)
Dec. 13 • Code Enforcement
Violations and non-conforming uses, who to contact, penalties and actions
Classes will last 90 minutes and begin at 6:30 p.m. Confirmation of registration will be sent by email. It will include notification of the location of the class, which is tentatively set for a meeting room near City Hall, but will be determined later based on the number of participants.
