Chamblee, GA, November 9, 2016 – The Post Reports – Unofficial vote totals show House District 81 State Representative Scott Holcomb (D) retained his seat in the Georgia Legislature to represent portions of unincorporated DeKalb County, one precinct in South Gwinnett County, and parts of the cities of Brookhaven, Chamblee, Doraville and Tucker. “I’m very proud to have the opportunity to continue serve,” Holcomb told The Post. “I love this community and I promise to keep working hard.”
In Holcomb’s decisive 17-point win, he never trailed Republican Challenger Lane Flynn as election results filtered in during the Tuesday, November 8th, General Election. Totals show Holcomb received 58.89% (9,894 votes) to Flynn’s 41.11% (6,908 votes).
Holcomb was sworn in to the State Legislature in 2011 and serves on the Public Safety and Homeland Security, Defense and Veterans Affairs, Higher Education, and Juvenile Justice committees.
