Brookhaven, GA, November 23, 2016 – The Post Reports – On Sunday, December 11th, the Brookhaven Police Department will be hosting an education session for those interested in learning more about child sex trafficking that is occurring in the Brookhaven area and the State of Georgia.
The event will be held at Brookhaven Christian Church and will include a viewing of the 90-minute documentary “8 Days“, a film inspired by actual events. The movie will be followed by a panel discussion and case study assessment by the DeKalb County Assistant District Attorney’s Office.
The plot of the 8 Days documentary film is centered around 16-year-old Amber Stevens who sneaks out to go to a party with her friends. She goes missing and is forced into the world of sex trafficking. Her family and community fight to get her back.
