Chamblee, GA, January 23, 2017 – by Greg Valley, Contributor – The Chamblee Bulldogs Swim and Dive Teams are gearing up for the State Championship, being held February 2-4 at Georgia Tech. Both teams finished top five in the State last season and hope to improve upon those finishes.
This past weekend, the boys won their fifth consecutive DeKalb County Swim and Dive Championship.
Louis Cardot, Alex Miretsky, Brian Fadjariza-Dumais, and Theo Hardy out-touched Lakeside for the win in the 200 Medley Relay while Miretsky, Hardy, Noah Oh, and Liam Bell came from behind for the win against Dunwoody in the 200 Free Relay.
Fadjariza-Dumais, Cardot, Oh, and Bell teamed up to win the 400 Free Relay to complete the relay sweep.
The girls finished as runner-up for the second year in a row. Brynn Lautenbacher, Julia von Bieberstein, Teresa Maloney, and Jade Foelske won the 200 Medley Relay while breaking a decade-old school record in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
Individual gold medalists included Noah Oh (200 Free), Liam Bell (200 IM, 100 Breaststroke), Lautenbacher (100 Fly), and Foelske (100 Free).
