Brookhaven, GA, April 28, 2017 – The Post Reports – Registration is still open for the 2017 Brookhaven Police Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Golf Tournament. The Capital City Club and the Historic Brookhaven Neighborhood Association will again host this annual event – and the pot just got sweeter. It was just announced the Hennessy Automotive Team is donating two cars for the hole-in-one contest prizes!
The tournament’s purpose is to provide for and expand a scholarship fund to support the educational aspirations for the men and women who serve in City of Brookhaven police department and their immediate families.
“Less than two years ago, several Brookhaven citizens organized the Brookhaven Police Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament,” says Brookhaven Police Foundation JD Clockadale. “The tournament attracted over 110 donors from our City. The proceeds have funded a scholarship endowment for the City of Brookhaven Officers, and for their dependents.” Clockadale notes that to date, the fund has awarded 16 scholarships to deserving Officers and their families through a careful vetting process performed by a committee of your fellow citizens.
This year’s event will begin with registration at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017, followed by a shotgun start at 12:00 noon at Capital City Country Club’s Brookhaven course. The player fee is $350 per person and $1350 per foursome and which includes green fees, carts, lunch, and awards reception. Should you not want to play golf, donations can be made separately and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
