Brookhaven, GA, July 21, 2017 – The Post Reports — According to a Thursday Press Release, Brookhaven’s Finance Director, Carl Stephens, has resigned and Assistant City Manager and CFO Steve Chapman will cover those responsibilities until a permanent replacement is hired.
Mr. Stephens’ last day is August 1st, the City says.
“Carl has been a solid contributor for the City of Brookhaven during our formative years of cityhood,” said City Manager Christian Sigman in the release. “We wish Carl success in his future endeavors, meanwhile the City is in good hands with Steve until a permanent decision is made.”
Mr. Stephens came to Brookhaven in January of 2015, after he spent four years as the Clayton County Water Authority Finance Director; three years as Deputy Director, Finance and Administration with DeKalb County; six years as Director of Finance for Hall County and three years as Budget Officer for Hall County.
